Uniquely elegant and timeless five strand bead and chip necklace from France, from limited edition dated late 1950s and purchased in live auction in France.
The five strands have various shaped beads, some faceted, some irregularly shaped chip style, and they all gather into a heavy metal cast three petal flower at neck. Made from what appears to be a milk glass, the necklace is on the heavier side and in immaculate condition with very slight patina on the gold tone metal.
Measures between 20 and 22" the longest strand.
A truly remarkable and highly collectible piece of Parisian couture custom jewellery, just another sample of fashion history. And it looks fabulous on tanned skin or on an all black outfit.
