A VINTAGE, BARELY WORN, COLD STORED and perfectly maintained, immaculate GENUINE FEMALE MINK (THE SOFTEST OF MINKS!) and CUSTOM MADE, the stole has a rounded cape back enhancing the horizontally laid out full pelts, reaches down to the waist and has luxurious and very long front wraps, an almost Victorian cape style. FULL let out pelts, soft and pliable on the entire stole, lined in delicately embroidered silk brocade. The cape has two oblique pockets on the front wings lining, a place to slide your hands to keep the stole wrapped around your body, a very nice feature. A superb rounded collar which can be worn up or down for a regal look, is lined in the same fabulous silk brocade as the entire stole. EXQUISITE tailoring, flawless pelts, NO damage, wear, hair guard whatsoever.
The lining is a beauty by itself: it is a soft beige skin color silk brocade changing to pale antiqued blue with the light. DELICATE SILK EMBROIDERED FLOWERS SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE LINING. JUST BEAUTIFUL!
THE COLLAR IS A PORTRAIT COLLAR, WHICH IS LINED IN THE SAME SILK SATIN/BROCADE, IT IS ROUNDED, MEASURES 6" WIDE AND SURROUNDS THE NECK AND SHOULDERS LIKE A SECOND CAPE. IT THEN CONTINUES AS FULL PELTS ON THE FRONT WINGS. EXQUISITE! AND IT IS REALLY WARM TOO WITHOUT BEING BULKY OR HEAVY. THIS IS YOUR PIECE DE RESISTENCE FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.
AGE: CREATED IN THE STYLE OF THE early 40's, THE CAPE WAS ACTUALLY MADE in a later decade and has been in my family for two generations . WORN, MAYBE A FEW TIMES AT FUNCTIONS, it is immaculate and ready to be enjoyed. ALL MY GENUINE FURS ARE COLD STORED EVERY YEAR in Montreal at reputable furrier, OILED AND GLAZED when out of storage, to guarantee the fur is not shedding, not dried out or damaged. FUR IS SOFT, SUPPLE AND WITH THAT UNMISTAKABLE SHINE of well cared for pelts. THIS LUXURY CAPE/STOLE WOULD LOOK MARVELOUS WITH LONG WHITE OR BLACK OPERA GLOVES.
COLOR: ON MY SCREEN THE COLOR APPEARS REDDISH and darker, THE ACTUAL COLOR IS SMOKY medium BEIGE OR LIGHT BROWN, KNOWN AS "AUTUMN MIST" or "AUTUMN HAZE". THE LINING IS THAT DELICATE AND HARD TO DESCRIBE BEIGE/BLUE EMBROIDERED SILK SATIN/BROCADE, depending how the light falls.
