Lovely 60's genuine python snakeskin hand crafted handbag convertible to shoulder bag by extending the sliding strap.
Created with a hard case body in a trapeze shape, the purse closes with a front flap sliding under a barrette. Genuine python front and back, genuine alligator belly skin sides and bottom and lining. Excellent workmanship, the purse has hand braided edges made from thin strips of leather. Sliding adjustable shoulder/hand straps. The interior opens to a one large compartment with an additional side compartment whatever needed (the compartment is taller rather than wide). Lovely feminine style, with that mix of city elegance and artisan craftsmanship. Just adorable and in perfect vintage condition.
COLOR: a mix of caramel and golden natural python color, with dark, almost black. Also, an interesting interplay of small scale flap with a larger scaled body (I am referring to the scales on the skin).
MATERIAL: genuine Python snake skins.
SIZE: 9" by 8.5" by 4" deep. Adjustable strap approximately from 10 to 20" drop.
CONDITION: The purse has been gently worn and lovingly cared for through many years. It is in excellent to perfect vintage condition, with NO damage to the skin, NO splits and cracks, and minimal signs of previous "purse life". Small (hair thin) pencil lines on the inner flap, will not be seen when worn and I assume it can be specialty cleaned if needed. Otherwise very good, clean. You will love this little luxury genuine Python purse!
