Old tribal Tibetan large and chunky ring from Tibet, large, impressive, detailed, a conversation piece unlike any other.
The ring is created from solid sterling silver (marked and also tested) with a patina and a large and raised mounting of genuine coral beads, channel set in a highly raised band with an even higher central coral stone shaped like a rounded baguette. The coral stones are natural, not enhanced and have that slightly muted color of old coral. They are highly polished and unglazed and you can see some small inclusions into the central stone. Each transition in the design has detailed work in silver, either braided motif or silver beaded.
There is an overall antiqued look to the ring.
MATERIAL: band is very solid and there is small .925 marking on the inside.
SIZE: estimated to be between 9 and 10.
Dimensions: the central mount measures 1" tall by 7/8" wide, by a bit over 1/2" tall.
Weight: weighs 10 grams.
