Understatedly elegant, this vintage 40s 50s entirely hand beaded evening bag will give your vintage outfit a touch of the "old world charm". An in-between styles, the purse combines an Art Nouveau shape with an Edwardian dark simplicity.
Handbeaded, handmade in Japan.
Created on a metal frame completely covered with beads, the evening bag has a nicely rounded oval shape, closes with gold tone metal kiss lock and is entirely lined in black satin with side pocket on the lining. The fully beaded body has a delicate leaf pattern on the front, emphasized by long beads in contrast with the seed beads on the rest of the purse. The bag can become a hand strap bag with the addition of the gold snake chain tucked inside. The chain has a repair right in the middle but it is fully functional and the repair can not be seen when worn.
The only label present is the "Handmade in Japan" white and gold label inside.
The purse measures 7 3/4" at the widest point by 5" tall and it appears new, never worn.
It is immaculately clean inside and out, with no missing beads, just a darling of an evening bag, HANDMADE vintage, ready to be worn or offered as a gift.
