Lovely and true vintage (actually semi-antique) black silk velvet evening bag with longer adjustable (slide) chain strap in immaculate vintage/antique condition.
The foam backed silk velvet is gathered gently around the metal frame which matches the silver link chain.
Black silky taffeta?? (just guessing) lining with no damage or wear.
The silver link chain slides, shorter or longer.
DATE/age: definitely the 40s
COLORS: as seen in photos, jet black and light gold/silver (the chain has some golden hues and it is possible that it has been originally gold tone, now it is light gold tone/silver)
SIZE: 7" by 6" tall, OR 18cm by 15.5cm. Chain strap drop of 7.5" or 12.5" (if extended)
FABRIC: genuine silk velvet
CONDITION: excellent vintage/antique condition. No damage or wear, remarkable for such an old accessory.
