The architect, interior designer turned fashion star Ginafranco Ferre, who was known for combining a theatrical style with unusual colours, has also been a master in creating designs where the simplicity of form (less is more) combined with the added feminine touch , allowing the woman to wear the dress not the other way around. Here is one of those uniquely Parisian dresses.

The vintage dress I am offering, created in the 1970s, has a "vintage 40s" look with elements emulating the 1940s in an updated version: loosely wrap top with two patch pockets on the bust for the classic silk scarf, or just as an unexpected element of comfort on a classy dress. The upper is pintucked on the waist. Skirt is a simple pencil cut, with small darts at the waist, both back and front. Hidden side zipper.
A delicate touch and enhancement are the removable, double French cuffs with the detachable outer layer in black and white double layer silk charmeuse. There is no belt (or belt loops), any matching would do, a silk sash or elegant narrow belt could turn this versatile classic dress from business to afternoon and cocktail. A scarf, a little antique pin,pearls, the possibilities are endless.
THE FIGURE FLATTERING CUT IS COMPLEMENTED BY A FINE WOOL CREPE FABRIC, and the dress is fully lined.

SIZE: marked as 44 F/42 D/46 I/16 UK AND 12 US, would actually fit smaller in my estimation, maybe a modern 10.
A BUST UP TO 40" AND A WAIST TO 30", a HIP of 40". The dress is 42" long.
CONDITION: the dress looks like it has never been worn. Pristine condition and ready to wear, like all the very high end items in this shop. A very good investment in a really upscale elegant dress. Ready to wear or offer as a gift.
