Outstanding antique turn of the century necklace in sterling silver and genuine sky blue Persian turquoises, surrounded by the subdued sparkle of marcasites and marcasites studded little hearts graduating up the unique chain.
The necklace is hallmarked and the genuine turquoises are that perfect sky blue of the most desirable of turquoises, the Persian Turquoise, mounted higher in the centre piece. There is an Art Deco element to the piece, however, the predominant design is oriental and the provenance is Turkey. A family heirloom, will make a perfect new family heirloom and will be cherished for a long time.
AGE: antique, dating from around the 1900's.
DIMENSION of center piece: 1 3/4" not counting the hearts by 1 1/4". 10.5" drop for a total length of 21".
MATERIAL: sterling silver 925 hallmarked in small cameo, barely visible now due to the antiquing of the metal. Genuine Persian (the best kind!) sky blue intense blue turquoises, marcasites.
CONDITION: just perfect with enough antique patina to make it even more interesting. Ready to wear or offer as a gift.
