Remarkable vintage ECHO Japan green and gold windowpane silk Baroque scarf with a classic Prince de Galle plaid motif and a multi tonal gold Baroque border print in muted golds on muted deep green. Superbly elegant and unique.
Art Nouveau meets Baroque.
The scarf is vintage, approximately dating from the mid 80s and combines classic motifs in an unexpected combination: the Prince de Galle classic with a masculine touch with a feminine Baroque border. That is what the 80s gave us most of the time, the unexpected. Made from ethereal 100% silk voile, the quality of the fabric complements to perfection the unique design. The gold accents in the border print create a 3D effect. Understatedly elegant colors, a scarf for all seasons and all reasons.

100% silk voile, lightweight and soft to the skin.
COLORS: as seen in pictures, a little more muted perhaps. The pictures were taken with flash, which usually brightens the colors.
Dimensions: 35" by 36.5", like all couture and high end scarves, not perfectly square.
Hand rolled edges.
Signed in cameo.
Condition:excellent condition with absolutely no damage, fading, just pristine.
